Yasmin Ripley is the newest member of team Luga! Here we grab 5 minutes with her to learn more.

Introduction & background

I started out in logistics, which lead to me becoming a logistics manager for a POS company. I loved being in the POS industry, walking into shops and seeing the finished article, knowing I had played a part in making that happen. Pandemic and redundancy hit, fast forward a few years and here I am at Luga. I love what we do, I love how no 2 days are the same, and we do some AMAZING projects! I live with my other half Shaun, and my ‘daughter’ Lilly, a 10 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (I am THAT crazy dog lady)

Interview

Describe yourself in 2 words – Loyal & Passionate

Career highlight – Moving into POS/Visual Merchandising. My background was predominantly logistics, and I didn’t get the buzz that I get from VM. I like to think of myself as a creative person and now I get to put that in my every day work. There is nothing better than seeing a project you have headed up in real life in all its glory!

What will you bring to the team at Luga?  – I think its safe to say I am joining the most amazing team with so much knowledge of the industry. I will be bringing a bucket full of passion to Luga because I am so excited to be a part of such a growing, interesting, fun business!

Which brand would you aspire to work with and why? – New Balance, simply because I am obsessed with their trainers right now!

Favourite place? – The Maldives! It had been on my bucket list for years, and I was lucky enough to go there last year. It was the first holiday I had with my partner and absolute paradise!

What you watching atm? – It depends what mood I am in, if I want to just switch my brain off its Married at First Sight UK, its reality TV at its best! But we love a true crime documentary in this house, probably a bit of a red flag that I watch documentaries on murder so much!!

If you didn’t work in this industry what is plan b? – Anything to do with dogs, or interior design, the 2 cant really be mixed can they!

Where do you see the industry being in 3 years?  – I think it will be all about sustainability, we are growing more & more conscious of our carbon footprint!

Weekends are spent? – We have recently built a summerhouse so pretty much all our weekends have involved plastering, painting or making feature walls out of old pallets! We try and get away as much as we can on the weekends, and explore new places.

Favourite emoji?  There is no way I can choose just one, there is an emoji for each of my moods, so I went with my top 5 – 😂😍🙈😳🤦🏼‍♀☺
